BRUCE:
(Pointing at rifle)

With that? No thanks. My daddy told me
to never buy a gun bigger than I was
willing to be shot with.

JIM:

Oh, its back to that liberal anti gun
bullshit is it? The world where all
is love. Well you can go out there and
throw empty beer bottles at that grizzly
bear, or whatever the hell it is, but
I'm taking the damned gun.

BRUCE:

Not with me you're not.

JIM:

Then you can stay here and die, 'cause
I'm leaving.

Carol pushes her way between them.

CAROL:

Can I get a word in here edgewise?
(to Jim)
Why are you in such a hurry to get out of here?

JIM:

Didn't you two hear what that old man said?
He said our subconscious mind will always
see to it that we are in situations which
will allow us to exercise our habits.

Well, that's just what we been doing here
for the last two days. You've been smoking
like a train. He's been drinking and I been
puffing pot. Only, its going to get worse
'cause if the boredom doesn't get us the
old man is going to turn up the pressure
until one of us breaks down and opens up
something stronger. But, it isn't going to
be me 'cause I'm getting to hell out
of here.

CAROL:

Like this, with candy bars in your pockets?
