They continue up the wall.

CUT TO:

INTERIOR...FARTHER UP PIT WALL....NIGHT

The trio has gone as far as it can go. They are exhausted
and it is still raining.

CAROL:

Guys, I can't take much more of this.
(clutches wall, panting)

JIM:

Hey! There's a light up there!

BRUCE:

How far?

JIM:

I'm not sure, but I'm going to find out.

He starts up the face of the cliff again, this time alone.

CUT TO:

EXTERIOR.......MOUTH OF CAVE.....NIGHT

Jim and Bruce are standing on a ledge pulling Carol up
out of the pit with a stout rope. She emerges over the
edge and stares past them into the cave.

JIM:

I told you that you wouldn't believe it.

CUT TO:

INTERIOR.....CAVE.....ELECTRIC LIGHT

The cave is a complete contrast to the pit. Inside
are shelves and cabinets filled with all kinds of goodies
It is well lighted and furnished comfortably.

Jim is staring at a vending machine full of beer.

JIM:

Man, this can't be real! Who ever
heard of a vending machine that sells beer?
