The trio stares at him and then at each other.

CAROL:

Are you out of your mind?

BRUCE:

No, I don't think he is. I did at
first, but now I'm no so sure.
(to Wizard)
Will this really help us make the film?

WIZARD:

Oh yes, I can guarantee that you will
have a great deal to write about.

Bruce reaches into his wallet to fish out two dollars
and the others follow suit. Then the wizard rises
and opens a door.

WIZARD:

Through here please.

FADE OUT.

INTERIOR....DEEP PIT......NIGHT

The trio finds itself standing at the bottom of a
narrow pit with rock walls rising sharply upward.

CAROL:

What is this place?

WIZARD:

It is where the initiation begins. In
this case, concerning itself with the
element of survival, plain and simple.
You see, the pit is starting to fill
up with poison gas.

White smoke begins to roll into the pit with a
loud hiss causing the trio to start coughing.

WIZARD:

I think you people had better do something.

The wizard disappears in a puff of smoke leaving the
others standing there alone to face their fate.
