WIZARD:

The truth is that an awful lot of people in
this country are using drugs themselves and
refuse to admit it, and that changes nothing.
Cigarettes and alcohol may be legal but they
are killers just the same.

Presently there's something like ten or
twelve people a day dying from all types
of drug poisoning in this country, including,
mind you, murders and deliberate suicides.

Meanwhile, several hundred thousand
individuals are going to die this year
from drinking booze and smoking cigarettes.

CAROL:

It can't be that many!

WIZARD:

It hadn't ought to be, but it is. Most
people are afraid of drugs like cocaine,
it would never occur to them that cigarettes
kill hundreds of times more people.

JIM:

Man, I don't believe we're standing here
talking to this spook like this.
(sets gun back on shelf)
This is some kind of nightmare or something.
Beer in vending machines, mile high cliffs,
none of this is real.

Now, how the hell are we gonna get out of
here? That's what I want to know.

WIZARD:

By finishing the initiation, of course.

BRUCE:

Well, if you don't mind, its been two days
and this wasn't what we really had in mind
so, if we could just forget about it...

WIZARD:

Oh, it doesn't work like that. Once you
start, you have to finish.
